Could you please tell me if the game crash, or when the error message appears?
I suggest you to:
And the error appears after I press install and download, once its done downloading and it's going through the installment, the last box instead of " It has finished installing " says an error has occured and it tells me really nothin to gix it.
And i'll try those suggestions right away and get back to you on it, probably won't take long. Thanks for responding by the way.
It's great that the developers actually help people out, way better than the Civ BE people.
You may have downloaded an older game after Endless Space that overwrote the files and corrupted them. It is a pain but try and find and manually download the files and then install from your computer to fix the issue.
There are some non microsoft websites containing the help instructions and files that might help you. Good luck.
What the hell is going on q.q
If you answered or clicked on one of those links maybe it is screwing up your files. Norton found and removed it for me.
But I kept going after a file one after another to fix the problem, and I even tried a system refresh. EVEN THE REFRESH GAVE ME AN ERROR.
It's like one problem after the other. I'm so frustrated right now.
I'm going to do a factory reset, and start fresh, but of course back up my files ;D! That seems like its the only way itll work.
Good luck if you reset it.
Run Windows update and add an exclusion in your Antivirus for the steam library directory.
If not using Norton you can still go find the executable in the steam directory and right click to give it "run as admin" access and also there should be an option re your antivirus. It will not fix internal errors in the game but might reduce some system issues trying to run or install it.
