What happens when a hero is cirtically wounded?
I've had two heros reach 0 health which I thought would be their death. However they are still there, still in command. It does say when I click on them, that they are critically wounded. Does this mean that if they get hit once more they will die? Are there some sort of stat losses? Any help would be appriciated! Thanks!

Side note, Anyone else pissed you can't "full screen" the artwork in the game? Sometimes when discovering a tech. or something, I really want to see the art because of how awesome it is. Know a work around?

Are you using the big UI? It pretty much doubles the size of most popup artwork, etc.
How do I go about using the bug UI? In the settings I assume?

Re heroes health. I really don't look at the numbers but he probably has something keeping him alive and yes I would say one more hit and he dies. Heal him or hide him until he gets health back. I look at the health bars to get an idea of strength and heal or swap out heroes and put the wounded one in a city for a few turns if i can't fix them right away.

A hero can't die. If every unit the hero commands dies, and the hero is reduced to 0 hp, that hero is sent back to the academy (I think that's what it is called) where it sits for a predetermined amount of time. (This time can be shortened by spending dust.)

Yes true but he seemed to imply in his post that the hero was still in the army in command and not in the academy healing up. He may have mistaken that for having a hero wandering around without any support units so the indicator on him would be zero. In that case he could be perfectly healthy but alone with no other units to command.

It might be the last stand trait at work? If a unit with it (like a hero) dies but you win the battle, they still survive the battle.

I imagine this crititally injured effect may be a recovery thing of such? Lowered stats for a number of turns - but at least they survived? Not sure - I'd have to test myself.

Mansen is correct I believe. If you read the wording on the Last Stand ability (i believe every hero has this one) it more or less does say this is the correct result of being killed in battle while still winning the overall battle. Think the wording may have been a bit weird, but I could be recalling that incorrectly or maybe they have re-done that a bit.

As far as critically injured, not sure. Haven't noticed anything, but haven't looked super close yet either. May just be a graphic warning reminding you that you are super low on HP.
:p2blue:Thanks for all the replies everyone! Just to specify, in the battle, my hero's health was reduced to 0. I still won by destroying the enemy with my other units the hero was commanding. After word, when the (battle screen?) came up it showed my hero was killed (or brought to 0) with a creepy looking hand symbol over it.(what does that mean?)
So if user Human Floatsam is right, and hero's can't die. I feel that uhh... is quite lame. There's no real risk sending my hero in to take all the damage or something. :p2orange:

Yep. Thought it was a bit odd choice myself. But I was playing as the Cultists and didn't realize how weak they are in battle at the start. My whole team got wiped out but the hero was just sent back to town to heal up.

AdamAndSteve:
If your hero dies in battle and your side wins the battle, he stays with the army and just takes a while to get to full hp.

If your hero dies in battle and your side loses the battle, he is sent back to the acadamy and is locked in there for 20 turns, after which you can re-assign the hero to either an army or a city.

From what I can tell, critically wounded just means that your hero has low Life. He will heal up in a few turns.
