urm, "I've tried adding the entire folder from the game files titled "Album" to the Steam music library search but it doesn't pick it up"
You'd be much better off just opening a "regular" music player and create playlists there.
I do that already (playing it in a standard music player) but doesn't that negate the point of using Steam music?
And yes - It negates the point of using it. But as long as it's still in beta (It used to be much, much worse as anyone in the Steam beta can tell you), you shouldn't depend on it.
I don't have any trouble adding any soundtracks in to my music library, Steam client seem to detect everything by itself.
By the way, my Steam library locates in my user folder (C:\Users\..). I don't know if that's relevant to your problem, but it's just my believe that Steam's default install location (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\..) can sometime cause issues because 'Program Files' folders are protected by UAC.
Ideally you should just create a folder labelled "Games" or somesuch on your drive right in the root - No more UAC bother.
I have no problem adding music from other places such as the E:\Music stuff which is full of soundtracks, albums and thousands of other bits of music.
I you want to add new library folder, go to Settings > Downloads, then click on 'STEAM LIBRARY FOLDERS'.
