Random crashes with ATI cards while running the 64 bits version
Hi all,

If you are experiencing random crashes, and possess a PC outfitted with an ATI cards, the current workaround is to swap to the 32-bits version of the game.

In the Steam Library, right click on Endless Legend, select properties, go to the Betas tab, select 32 bits in the version droplist. This should update the game to 32 bits.

We are enquiring with Unity and ATI to understand the reason of this bug. Thanks.


And please, if this does not solve your issue, make sure you provide these files (with a Dropbox link or equivalent, or refer to the official forum[forums.amplitude-studios.com]):
  • Specs - Share your specs with us! Your OS, Anti Virus, Drivers version, GFX card, screen resolution, etc.
  • Version - What is the game version? You can find this out in the game menu, at the bottom left of the screen
  • Output_log.txt [PC] [Steam install dir]/Steamapps/Common/Endless Legend/EndlessLegend_Data/output_log.txt
  • Diagnostics.html - [PC] [Documents dir]/Endless Legend/Temporary Files/Diagnostics*.html

Please, do not copy paste the content of your files in the thread.

my game never loads past "start a new game" screen. It looks like its going to load, then goes back the same screen. I have switched to 32 bits.

So my game crashes every turn or 2 after 200 turns and wont let me try the 32 version because of no beta code

Installing the 32-bit beta fixed all my crashes and errors so far, thanks.

You don't need a code, just select the beta and start the queued download in your library (icon should be blue).
The code prompt is only to unlock private betas.

I just crashed too. I find this to be completely ridiculous and disappointing.

The 32-bit version has yet to crash on me, but this is a kind of ridiculous issue... :( hope devs find a way to patch it.

Switching to 32bit version seems to solve the "exit to desktop" issue for me. Here are my specs for reference:

CPU: i5-3570K (4.2GHz OC)
RAM: 8GB 1600MHz
OS: Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit latest service pack/patch available
GPU: SAPPHIRE R7 260X 2GB GDDR5 (No overdrive/No OC)
GPU Drivers: AMD Catalyst 14.9
Endless Legend Version: V1.0.8 S3 (32-BIT)

Other software running in the background:
- Avast!
- Razer Synapse 2.0
- AMD Gaming Evolved
- SpeedFan

Hope you can solve the 64bit issue soon.

Can't get the game to load at all. Got to the initial game screen once, and it crashed in the setting pane. Can't even see the splash screens now. Crashing on 64 bit and 32 bit.

Just installed the game off of Steam. Paid for it. Would love to play it.

Endless Legend is a diamond in the rough and it's true potential is very appealing. I am waiting to see if the developers will fix this issue in particular and its many other game play problems. The developers commitment and passion for this game is evident. When the final product is polished and ready, I will buy this.
