Um I think I figured out what happened. Winter came and they folded up the tents and packed up on the back of the giant bettle?

I'm not an expert by any means, but when winter comes, production of food also decreases. Was it a population 1 city that didn't have food?

nah it was my main city and all my resources were good. I think iot was actually a bug I google searched and people say they have the same thing happen.

Well it wasn't a food issue I can tell you. My capitol city size 5 with 20 food production vanished without an enemy within the region. Was playing Wild Walkers and had declared on Roving Clans AI the turn before. I had armies in Roving Clan territory next door.

The message popped up saying I couldn't build anymore of an assimilated faction because it was no longer assimilated.. Then I saw my main city in the middle of my territory was gone. Eventually i lost the war without the production and got wiped out. Definitely a very strange thing that I could not see any explanation for.

This was an MP game on a lan with friends but I doubt it makes a difference since we still have to connect online.

same thing happened to me i got the pop up that said assimilated clan is no longer pacified or something and my city was gone. I was playing roving clan and had built the mobile city upgrade so luckily my city was packed up and I just relocated it but I never told it to pack up it just did it when winter came. I was thinking maybe the rovers pack up in winter but that didnt seem right.

I don't have the autosave before it happened as i was not hosting only after it happened so I doubt it would help the devs figure it out. It was around turn 78. I have never seen it happen is SP only this time in MP.

This is happening to me and I have the save before the turn that it happens. It's on turn 78 just like FerrusPugnum was saying. If the devs want my save game then please let me know.

Yes - Absolutely be proactive here and upload your savegame to Dropbox or similar so they can just pick up the savegame when they see the thread.

The rovers have the ability to move cities with that beatle mechanic. You probably accidentally added it to your build queue (It is black with yellow). Check your previous auto saves :).

no i didnt accidentally hit it it was the bug I'm positive because i didnt have the resources to queue it at the time. It just so happened that when it happened it put my city in the beetle.

There are no costs for that option and it takes only 1 turn.

The game will save your last 4 turns so if you are convinced you did not order this action then just loadup the previous turn and see what happens. That way if you find a re-producable bug you can send it to the devs.

Turn 37, summer, first time play. Tried Ardent Mages and suddently on new turn my city was gone and a settler stood in its place. Noone was visible on my map and food was plentiful.

You used the "Salt the Earth" option - razes your city.
