[MAC] Problem with ESC to menu

When I hit ESC to get the menu to save, load, change options, return to the main menu, exit to desktop, etc., the problem is that none of the text shows up. The button areas are still active, and the tooltip shows up when you hover over each area, and you can successfully save or load, etc... But the information disappears after flickering into view for a fragment of a second.

This obviously creates problems when you want to load a game!

What OS do you have? Is it under 10.8? If so that may be the problem. The minimum requirements state that you should have at least 10.8 ...
As a workaround you could hover over the screen if you want to save or load because the buttons are there and work, they are just not visible. Hovering over the screen will trigger the tooltips so you know what area to press. The save button is the first from left to right followed by the load. Quit game is in the middle bottom part of the screen.

And yes, I could use the buttons, even if they weren't visible. The biggest problem will be attempting to load a saved game as I cannot see the list of files.

People who don`t se the in-game menu usually see the save/load submenus just fine. Are you sure that you clicked in the right spots? If the tool tip pops up it means that your are on the button.

Yes, I suppose I can click around to get to the save/load screens. But this is an annoying bug. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

Yep. Menu buttons are invisible on the Mac. Had to force quit the game cuz I couldn't find the exit button. Managed to find the save game one tho.

They snuck the exit to desktop and the exit game (to main menu) at the bottom of the screen. Hover over that area to highlight the tooltips for them.

So is there any work around for loading a save game? Is there a quicksave/quickload hotkey so you don't have to look at an invisible savegames list? How are people playing if you can't load your savegame, or did I miss something obvious?

Looking at the official forums it seems it is a known bug, happens with iMacs and Mac Pros but not laptops.

For me it's just the "esc menu" UI thart dosent work but as stated by others you can kinda see the UI flicker and you get a hint of where to click. Then when you are in the acctual save/load and option menus everything work without problem.

Yes, once you know roughly where to hover the mouse it seems to be usable.

Fun game! Hopefully they sort out the escape menu and fullscreen issues quickly.

Same invisible menu problem for me, Mac 10.9.4. By searching the tooltips I could fund the save/load/options buttons.

What's weird is once it worked and during a play that menu wasn't invisible.

Yes this problem also exists on 10.10.1. Very annoying. Is there a work around?
