Speeding up unit movement

How do you speed up the movement of your units? The units in the game move really slowwwwwwww. I cannot find any option to speed them up. Can you put your units on crack?

Iron amulets, the trade road technologies and the tech that lets you search ruins a second time all work if you mean how many tiles they can move at a time. Late game it can get to the point where your basic units should be able to cross half the map in a single turn.

No, I meant speed up the animation. Moving just takes to long.

Well, you can speed up animations in battle with the lists under options before you start a game (battle animations) however, for travel (non-battling).. well.. no, there is no way to speed it up, and I think it isn't that slow.. but, that's just me.

You can change battle animation. But no idea for moving animation.

if you chain-click on the destination, you speed up the movement animation.

just double/triple click on the destination and it speeds up the unit movement. I do this every time and it works well.
