Simply go into Game Setting Summary/Advanced Settings and untick score victory. Then you can play as long as you like.
Thanks mate :)
In case we dont have score victory on, what effect does game speed have, and does anything happen at the turn limit stated in the game speed we choose?
Not sure I understand the question, so I'll answer the one I think you are asking ^^
If score victory is turned off nothing will happen on turn 150 fast/300 normal speed etc, the game will carry on until someone meets one of the other victory conditions.
The number of turns for the score victory on each speed is fair indication of how long it will take that to happen in an average game, ie 300 turns on normal speed and normal difficulty I'd be getting nervous of an AI win by science or wonder.
On higher difficulties they will move along faster, usually. Sometimes not as they are too busy fighting like weasels in a sack but you get the idea.
On Endless speed you only get 0.333 - a third - (or might even just be 0.3, can't remember for sure) strategic resources per extractor per turn instead of 1. This confused me at first as for a couple of turns after I built first my first Titanium extractor I still had zero showing, like it was doing nothing. The confusion arises from that fact that the tooltips do not adjust for this different rate, they still refer to the base of 1 for everything, e.g. the if you research and build the technology that gives +1 on strategic resource, it still says +1 on the tooltip, but will instead only give +0.333 for 0.666 total per extractor per turn instead. Everything has the same cost though, so it takes far longer to be able to equip armies with strategic gear, to erect buildings that need strategics etc.
