Healing Units?
This may be a silly question, but is there another way to heal units without spending Dust? I've been playing only for two hours and found the only way to heal my units is by spending an exorbitant amount of Dust on them. I'm playing Broken Lords, btw. Dunno if this is a race specific thing or not.

That's race-specific, but even for the broken Lords there's an alternative. You can follow the main questline to gain a tech that allows for slow healing of your units within your own territory, if you have pacified villages, there.

I *think* support units are of use there.

not all support units are healing units

Can you tell more about how you heal/reinforce your units ? Do you have to take them back into town ? Where is the option exactly, I can't find it...

They heal over time, I just keep my Necrophage Horde moving and they heal

Mhmm; I'm playing Wild Walkers. I've got some heavily damaged archers, but they don't seem to heal over time. Damn it.

Guess its a Trait for the Necrophages.

No, every units (apart the briken lords one) heal over time, the rgeneration is faster on your regions and even faster if you stand in an hex of city.

Well Vieux Chat, I was coming back to the thread to post exactly the same observation. Thanks :)

I had 4 marines (vaulters) that would not heal. The army was led by a hero and was in the bounds of my territory, but they wouldn't regain health.

watchtowers and their upgrades gives bonus to regeneration, anyway for broken lords, their support unit (Dust Bishop if i remember) heals nearby unit after attacking by 50% of dmg dealt, also basic Broken Lords unit regain about 10% of their max hp back, if unit they attacked on ongoing turn dies

I randomed as the Drakken in my game and my hero can heal.
Since I gave him a Glasssteel weapon with +40 Dmg, he heals for 85 points. Also my army consists of really tanky units with almos 100 Armor.

But very well possible other races don't have the same luxury.

The way I healed my units and hero, I assigned them to protect a city. In doing so, they very-quickly regained their health. After X number of turns, I was able to get them outta the city and use them again at full health.

Sorry to revive this thread, but in response to the preceding post, what does "assigned them to protect a city" mean? There is no such command as far as I can see.

-- Is the idea to put them in 'sleep' mode as an army in the city?

-- Or to explicitly disband the army and assign it to the garrison?

-- Or what? What is the fastest way to heal units?

The manual says "Most units regain health over time" (p. 42), and that's it!
