LMAO 4X games are the worst games to port on mobile, and out of existing 4x games this might be the worst ones:
1) Game isn't even optimized on PC and you have people complaining of bugs and crashes and whatnot on the forums. Why will they work on another system when they aren't even done on PC?
2) 4X games don't work on mobile because they require a lot of reading and a lot of effects and a lot of rendering and a lot of time to play, compared to Civ Endless Legends is far more graphically demanding I mean you can run Civ on an old pc and still play it, with Endless Legends not so much you need a low Mid tier pc at least. Sure you could put out a low end version but if you remove the animation what the hell's the point of playing this then? 4x games fundamentally play the same and if this game will not have the animation, soundtrack and atmosphere it has then you're better off playing Civ or whatever else you in playstore right now.
3) Core games traditionally don't do well on mobile, X-Com enemy unknown was developed on PC with mobile in mind but flopped in IOS and playstore badly, with the apps costing 0-10 bux if you put out a game $20 or more chances are very few people will buy it, and if you bought in on pc with all the expansions and add ons already why will you pay again to play on mobile with a stripped down version without all the extras on pc? There is virtually no market for this so there is no point on making a mobile port.
Interesting. Ok, I understand. It doesn't make sense for Endless Legends.
1) Less bugs (atleast on iOS) because you are not dealing with millions of different types of hardward/software configurations and possibilities. It's 2-3 phones, generally on the latest OS.
2) They would work fine on a tablet or a larger phone. Most phones can handle 3D Graphics pretty seamlessly now, and it's easier to optimize for the same 2-3 phones. You can reduce the effects where required, and reading isn't a big issue.
The biggest issue would actually be the battery life required to play through a 10 hour game.
3) XCOM on mobile had excellent reviews:

And sold well:

"Civilization VI requires an iPad Air 2, iPad 2017, or any iPad Pro."
Are iPad's Phones now?
Also, not Endless Legend.
