Equipment Tiering?
It should be obvious that, say, tier 2 Palladian is better than tier 1 Palladian, and that tier 1 Mithrite is better than tier 1 Admantium... But how do higher tiers of earlier materials compare with lower tiers of later materials?

Tier 3 Titanium/Glassteel is weaker than Tier 1 Palladium/Adamantium. It is however even in lategame useful for the better tinkets (armour tech).

How do Palladian/Admantium compare with Mithrite/Hyperium? Same logic?

Higher tier palladium/adamantium is better then lower tier mithrite/hyperium.

I am not completly sure about tier 1 Pall/Ada to tier 1 Mith/Hyp, I think Mith/Hyp is a little bit stronger, but tier 2 Pall/Ada puts that to shame again. And Tier 3 Pall/Ada is stronger than Tier 2 Mith/Hyp. How the two tier 2s compare, no idea.

In general, strategic resource weapons and armor more advanced than those using glassteel/titanium are better. However, glassteel/titanium equipment are more easily accessible early on.

Whether palladium/adamantian is worse than mithrite/hyperion is less clear cut. I think palla gives more initiative although less attack than mithrite. My advice is to look at what effects palla/ada/mith/hyp have on your unit's different stat types and decide which is most appropriate for your unit. Do not generalize that mith/hyp are better overall than palla/ada.
