If the save structure is the same it should work. But it only works for player 1 and i didnt try to improve it because nobody cares, hahaha. There is a better script out there than can toggle on the dev menu and edit the game on real time soo......
Thank you very much anyways
Is just a xml editor...
I mean, you can open the save file, because is a zip and then edit by yourself the xml file with notepad ++ or a xml editor. You only have to test wich offset storages the values you want to change
Tried that before. Didn't work when loading, saying it was corupted. Probably has something to do with how zip in Mac works. Or I didn't google enough.
Is there a way to either (save game) edit victory conditions or the AI's values?
I would like to turn off "Economic Victory" or edit the dust amount of an enemy empire or it's going to win that way the next turn.
I tried the Op's editor and went through some guides on how to edit the save games, but it's mostly focused, obviously, on buffing oneself, not weaken others.
This is what I found on tweaking ones dust:
"Right Click Game.xml and Edit with Notepad++
CTRL+F in Notepad++ and Find 'BankAccount', 'EmpirePointStock', and 'EmpireMoneyAccumulator' numbers to 999999"
This works fine, but I need to find one AI players values and can't.
Appreciate any advice. Thanks!
Delete spaces in mega link because they delete links in forums
I had to find and edit the right "EmpireMoneyAccumulator" in the Game.xlm.
Scaled the Mezari empires down a bit, so that the victory wont trigger and it worked out fine!
Really didn't want to cheat, this game is fine as it is and is really enjoyable. Could've won 50 turns ago by triggering the wonder victory, but I wanted to get more out of this first round and altough there were two warnings of the Mezari's looming economic victory I didn't expect it to
come that soon.
Btw, Are you sure that your editor doesn't work anymore? I can see my stats in it and it helped me to differentiate my values from the AIs. Had to change ".sav" to ".zip" to use your editor, but I thought it should work.
Thanks again!
PS.:
Both links in your post lead to Endless Space 2 stuff. I haven't gotten around to that one yet.
Spring or summer sale, but not just now.
Also all the endless games give you an alert of inminent wining when you get 50% of a victory condition, so don´t pay attention. The AI is pretty crappy in late game, but is incredibly hard to program an AI that complex so I don´t blame the developers.
I should've payed attention! I thought "alarmists" too, when that first notification popped up.
Then "Economic Victory by Mezari in turn 298"...
I could've wrapped this up a while ago, but it's my first playthrough and it's too much fun to
end right now.
How would you guys handle this? Dr.Bonsai, do you have any ideas?
