Strategic Intensifier Change?
Ok, so I'm playing as the Forgotten and I want to build an SI on some Hyperium, but it isn't letting me. The deposit doesn't already have a district on it, and I've been able to build SI's on H in past games with other factions. Is this a bug, or a patch change that I missed? Any thoughts?

This happens to me when I already have the extractor or district in the que that affects that hex. If this is the case, it won't let you put the intensifier in the que.

yeah I was thinking it might be that too, but I've tried it both with an extractor already built on it, and with no extractor on it or in the cue and no dice :T

Usually, it let's me build the Intensifier even if I don't have the tech for the resource, so the only other things are sufficient pearls and whether you have another Intensifier built or in the que. I have seen it grey out when it seems like it shouldn't but that usually fixes itself in a few turns.

I think it might just be that this particular hex is bugged in my save. I've got everything that ought to allow me to build an SI there; there's no district on it already; I bult out another city to build an SI on H near it and it let me; but this problem's persisting. I got the province by conquest, so I'm wondering if maybe the previous owner queued some sort of construction on it before I took the city which got canceled when I took it, but the comp still thinks it's there.

Forgive me if I am asking something you already provided: is the Hyperium spot adjacent to the districts of the city in that region? Because you can't just drop Strategic Intensifier anywhere in the region on the resource deposit, special "district" kinds follow the same expansion rules and regular boroughs-they must be adjacent to an existing borough/district/city/wonder.

Screenshots would make it easier to determine if there is anything we can do or you ran right into a bug.

yeah it's adjacent to a district.

Do you have the technology for Hyperium rearched?
zurAur Sep 18, 2017 @ 11:59am
of course

It sounds like a bug.

yeah, that's what I'm thinking.
