Why is vore a unit name

Me and my friends were making fun of the name, and we decided to search up what it actually meant. We did not like what we found. Why is it named this

It's a Morgawr ship (not a Necrophages unit). It looks like a living creature. I find it completely appropriate that it fantasizes about eating your ships' crews alive.
