What is the difference between "Classic" and "Emporer" edition?

I'm interested in buying this game, but I can't figure out how to see the difference between the two versions of the game

It's basically a deluxe edition. It includes the base game, the OST, an extra minor faction, an extra hero, an extra trait for custom factions and some stuff for Dungeon of the Endless, should you have that game.

I bet the OST is nice, but it doesn't come with like a couple of the DLC's then?

the ost is brilliant. Doesnt come with the dlc. But the dlc are worth it. Do note they add a lot of new elements to the game. So get comfortable with the base game and then progress.
The dlc are on sale so its affordable. This game is a hidden gem.

I played Endless Space and enjoyed it fairly well.
I enjoyed playing a couple of Sid Meier's civ games (The one on the xbox and the space colony one when it was free to play)

I just decided to buy this in part because I love Endless Space 2. I'd forgotten about this and was just checking Steam to see if I might want something else besides War of the Chosen for Xcom 2. I'm thinking I'll buy the complete collection with all the dlc, fairly confident I'll enjoy it and if not still cheaper than a round of golf.
