Heroes and Privateers

Can a privateer army fly their [neutral] flag if they have a hero attached to them? Or do they become marked as a part of your army at that point?

Okay, so you already understand they can only be market bought, but while im answering this may aswell make it easier for people who use the search function, To my knowledge you cannot attach a hero to a privateer army, as, while they are merchant bought, They are not enemies that spawn naturally.

I haven't tried it, but when I was assigning a hero to an army, my privateer army was listed as an option. I wondered the same thing, but didn't try it.
