Is there a Demo for this game?

No, actually not. But I keep on reading about refunding. Someone mentioned that this possible when not played more than two hours. Honestly, 15 or 30 min will not give u a proper impression of the game. Rather have a look at some lets plays.

A demo would help me decide if my laptop with an Nvidia 650M GPU would run Endless Legend adequately.

Just buy the game play for an hour and if you don't like it refund it. Steam offers refunds as long as you haven't played over two hours or had the game for more than a certain amount of time (I believe two weeks)

As stated above... you have two hours to refund the game. I've used this Steam feature a few times and works very well.

I think a 650 should manage this properly. So try and refund if not.

keep in mind steam watches out on how many refunds you do during a period of time.. also thye really dont want you using it to try out games 9 got a warning for games i refunded that simply didnt run well...

Totally unplayable with my current laptop. I've requested a refund but would be willing to give Endless Legend another try if I ever buy something more capable. This is an example why even a limited demo benefits both developer and customer.

your game list is terrible by the way haha.. you must have a very low end pc lol

I guess. It's a laptop with an Intel I7 (best component), 8GB RAM, and an Nvidia 650M. Laptops suck due to heat problems and virtually no real upgrade path..but the form factor is what I need..

To judge a 4x game by first hour impression is utterly unwise. I'd recommend to watch some youtube letsplays if you really aren't sure.

Btw, it is really strange. My specs are almost the same as yours: i5, 6Gb, 840m. And game runs very well. I play on Windows 8 64 bit.
