The very next turn, the last group I moved was still on the screen, and he saw ... Wings of Ruin /and/ Who Are the Hurnas light up to his left and right, both within 5 hexes of him :) Yah, it was kind of late in the game to have gotten the Conflict Resolution quest. Both the Hurnas group and the Tetikes group are still created at level 2, they don't scale up with era :(
Dust to Rust works fine; have any group (even a lone Rumbler, or Skoros :) search any of the ruins that specifically has the quest light shining on it. You can also tell from the world map by hovering over the ruin until its descriptive card pops up on the left, and it'll list all of the active quests it's associated with. (A ruin can have 2+ active quests; I had a ruin with the Eayean Bi-Forge quest already active, and then it got picked again for a Lust for Loot sub-quest, so it had two quests in its list. I guess searching satisfies the first quest in its list that you're eligible to satisfy, Just search N+1 times with a hero, and rake in the free XP :)
For me, Dust to Rust converted 40 Palladium (ugh) into 50 Adamantian (not terrible) + 1k dust. I got impatient and outright bought 24 of the Pa on the market (bleh). So I ended up with 103 Ad 0 Pa, and soon thereafter all of my heroes had much Ad tier 2 stuff. Spying 4 is very fun with the Ad tier 3 scope (48 Ad base cost :o) + two levels of hero skill = 30 infiltration points per turn.
NELR: The tier 3 telescope itself seems to be a tripod-mounted refractor with a 45 degree prism. The balance point is incorrect, too far to the front, even for the tiny little eyepiece shown attached. Also, there's no reason for the two-stage narrowing of the tube, as this kind of telescope cannot slide into itself to shorten its length. Also (and more importantly), it'll clip or limit the light cone, and you lose field of view, especially with the 110-degree AFOV (apparent field of view) eyepieces. Still, it's nice to see some optics in EL.
On the bright, side, if I needed war, I have an excuse now. The one faction that acted like they were going to play niced decided to start sabatoging my cities. Looks like it's time to steamroll 'em.
