My question is whether this is normal or if there is a problem with my install - it seems strange to me that new mods that don't seem to edit the same things as the patch would be disabled due to conflict, and stranger still that my old custom civs are still able to be activated while the new ones aren't, given both old and new were created and installed before the patch, but I'm not familiar with the finer points of modding this game so any input would be helpful.
Restarting the client (and verifying) did indeed clear up the whole problem. Thank you for stating the obvious, I was all too ready to believe I had screwed something up.
