Is Civ 6 crossplay with all 3 PC platforms (Epic Games, Steam and Microsoft Store)?

Got a friend who owns the Epic Games version of the game to play with me on Steam through the Internet (cross-play) method but we kept getting errors. He then switched to the Microsoft Store one and we kept getting an error message. It said something along the lines of "Error finding the Match" if I remember correctly, and yes, we triple checked everything to see if we got the password wrong or anything like that. Anyone knows if it's possible all 3 platforms to connect with each other?
