Starting New Cloud Game Feature
I'm looking to start a new cloud game with my friends in which each player takes their turn when its a good time for them. However it seems like I can't invite them to a game unless they are already online. It seem like this somewhat defeats the purpose of this game mode when dealing with people from all over the world in different time zones.

So my question is, am I missing something in getting this set up or does everyone really need to be online first to start?

I think they may have to. Another problem is the function to switch your cloud games to real-time play when everyone is available does not seem to be enabled yet. Let me know if yours works.

I did find out that you can send a join code to everyone playing and then once all have selected their civs and pressed the ready button the host can then start the game and notifications will pop up once its your turn. The ability to continue in real time when everyone is on and then back to cloud save when needed would be amazing, but I haven't seen / found any option for that.

ok, thanks, yeah I knew that about the notifications. It even notifies you actually inside other games you are playing btw

To transition a Play By Cloud game to a internet/lan game:
1. Save the Play By Cloud game. This can be done while observing the game world by using the Save Game button from the esc menu.
2. Go to the internet/lan lobby.
3. Click the Load Game button. Your Play By Cloud save should be visible.

This also works vice versa.
