Yes since the last patch, though no maps have team start locations, though you can make custom maps with locations set by player slot. Come to Civplayers Leagues discord if you want to play good MP games including many team games https://discord.gg/uBEpu3u

So your saying my friends and I can play on the same team , share technology and stuff from the very beginning of the game? Like in Civ V? I don't care about starting location.

Sharing tech doesn't work in the same way - when one member of a team researches a tech, all the others get a boost for it. Victory conditions are, some of them, altered to account for teams. You share visibility, I think.
