Connection to the host has been lost???

This just started today for me and my friends. There are four of us, in different places using different computers.

5 days ago we played with ZERO problems. Now it doesn't matter which of us hosts...NONE of us can join anyone else's game. We get "Connection to the host has been lost"

It can't be a single problem affecting 4 different computers on 4 different internets, that worked just fine 5 days ago

Are the servers down? Someone help me figure out what is going on.....

edit: here is the REALLY WEIRD part. We can join SOME games posted by strangers. We can even join the same game. But not all. Many still get that same error....

I did a traceroute to their server and we ALL got stuck at Akamaitechnologies.com hop.

2K INSISTS it is the ISP that is the problem, but you're telling me 4 DIFFERENT ISPs in 3 different states are all having the same issue, at the same time?

no...its 2K and they refuse to acknowledge it.

The problem seems between Steam and Firaxis, because it works when we play via Unified PC multiplayer and Civ 6 in Epic Store also works.

Yes, this is their fault, but it's our problem. They refuse to fix it.

Honestly not buying civ 7 til they can show they will fix huge bugs like this
