Game won't launch

Game worked yesterday, doesn't work today. Saw there was an update, must've broke something...

please remove the new launcher so I can play again. That launcher broke the game. Please learn that you suck at making launchers that are not needed. Srsly paid for a game you broke not happy.

There was an 85mb update a few hours back, unanounced no patch notes. Since then i notice many with these problems. The update broke the game, only thing atm todo is a rollback to the previous version as far as i know.

Go to steam liberary, right click Civ6 and hit propperties, select beta tab, hit the dropdown menu and select the previous version. Wait for steam to complete it processes and then boot up game, it should be running fine.

Then its just a mater of waiting for 2k to fix the mess they made

Always start with verifying game files. Especially after an update.

Then read the guide on skipping the launcher.

I had the same issue and the final solution was to modify the launch options to bypass the launcher.
