Civ VI / Steam on the iPad Pro M1 Chip

I don’t own a PC anymore and just bought an iPad Pro. I was under the impression that Steam games worked on iOS. None of my PC games will launch on iPad and read that I have to repurchase them for a new operating system. I decided to purchase Civ VI to give it a try but still the same issue, no launch when I click the PLAY NOW button (button depresses but no sponse after that). Since then I’ve Googled about how to play on my iPad and I just keep getting recommendations for Steam Link and Rainplay but they require a PC, which I don’t have anymore. Any suggestions?

What version of Civ 6 did you purchase?

Been looking for the version number and can’t find it. I’m wondering if there’s a need to buy specifically for iOS? I do not see anywhere that I can buy for iOS and bought the default Anthology Bundle.

If you meet the requirements, you could get a refund. I am assuming you purchased it through Steam.

The iOS version of Civ6 is bought separately via the Apple App store.

When buying the game on Steam you DO get the PC/Mac/Linux version, but not the iOS version.

As far as I am aware, there are zero games that you buy on Steam that then work on iOS. Unless you are playing via some type of computer sharing app on iOS, which I believe there is an official Steam app for that purpose, don't ever use it, so I don't know how well it works. The iOS version of Civ6 does run pretty well on the M1 iPad Pro though.

steam games do not work on ios.
you need to buy these at a different shop.
