Got nuked but my aluminium mines are working since they where unaffected by the nuke. But the game shows I have no aluminium. I even made peace with the empire after conquering some cities ut still the game says there are no aluminium. Please help me

How do I see that?

Does it show zero in the top bar
From the Industial Era onwards units gradually consume one unit of each late game resources (Coal, Oil, Aluminum and Uranium).

Aircraft consumes aluminum, tanks (and human infantry for whatever f-ing reason) consume oil, battleships consume coal and the giant death robot consume uranium.

Since your case is aluminum, let's talk about that.
Each mine provides I think two or three points of aluminum per turn.

So let's say you have only one mine (cos this game is stingy) that gives you +3 aluminum per turn, that means you can have up to two aircraft if you wanna keep accumulating more aluminum, if you have 3 aircraft you'll stop acumulating but you won't lose any more, if you have more than 3 you'll start losing alumium because you're consuming more than you're generating.

That means your aircraft will be less powerful and you won't be able to heal them because healing resource-consuming units uses up the reserves you have.

Thanks for the explanation but I later traded an aluminium from another civilization but still the aluminium icon doesn't show up in the top bar

Then that means the UI can't accomodate everything on the top bar and some icons ended up hidden.
Look for a "⊕" icon somewhere near where the strategic resources are and hover your mouse over it.

A very old thread, but I have this exact problem. Any chance someone found a fix? I have mines. I have a citizen assigned. I removed the mines and rebuilt. There is no icon or + sign at the top. I quit the game completely and reopened. I have no units that are using aluminum and I can't even create a new bomber plane. I also ensured I have roads to the tile. The resource panel says I have 4 aluminum.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
