Civ 6 and discord problem

Whenever I play civ 6 my connection to discord hits rock bottom, everyone starts cutting in and out. I tried playing civ 6 with skype and didn't have this problem, anyone got any advice?

Did you ever figure out this issue? I just started playing with a friend and ran into this issue as well. As long as I have Civ6 in focus, Discord performance sucks. It won't pick up my voice when speaking, and the other player kept dropping in and out. If I changed focus to Discord or another app, it goes back to normal. The moment I put focus back on Civ6, the issue returns. I'm running vanilla Civ6 with no DLC.

Try disabling steam chat, could be a confliction between the two trying to use the same resources at the same time. I've always just used steam chat in civ games. With discord just running in background in text only mode.

Been ages since I played civ 6, but I think I fixed it by changing either civ 6 or discords priority in the task manager to above normal
