Does Steam even read our refund notes???
I just got the game today booted it up andd the further i went the less i liked. I left for a birthday party but didnt feel like restarting the game when i got home, so i just left it up on my mac. I played the game for probably another hour since ive been home and have really just gotten too the point where i completely regeret buying it. I've had trouble in the past with steam refunds, when I bought GTA V only to stupidly find out no computer i have access to can run it. Unfortunately this was before I knew you could refund games on steam. However, once i learned you could I immediately applied for a refund for the game that still to this day in my library has 0 hours of playtime. I know the policy, but i was hopeful considering that i had explained myself in the notes. None the less steam shot me down then and for my next 3 attempts. I've loved steam since ive had an account but i cant help but feel cheated by this refund system. And unfortunately due to the lack of interactive customer service ive experienced i have little hope left, and i guess that now im just coming to the community hoping that at least someone can help

They never read mine. Try getting some DLC refunded on a game you have over 500+ hours in. They will auto-deny the refund because you have played 2+ hours, even if you never started the game after getting the DLC.

1) This is the Civ6 forums

2) You 'claim' you knwo the policy then assume they'll give you an exception, then get all huffy when you don't, knowing full well you don't qualify for a refund.

3) Note "Waaah I didn't get a refund" does not mean "they didn't read your request". It means "they read it, and you don't qualify"

No one forces you to play more than 2 hours of the game. YOU did that. Not Steam. YOU. The refund policy is clear. When you don't meet it that's YOUR fault

Take responsibility for your actions, instead of whining that Steam wont fix a problem YOU created.

The refund policy is basically these two questions:
1) Played the game for less then 2 hours?
2) Owned the game for less then 14 days?

If both questions answer yes, you should get a refund, if not, you will not get a refund.

Refunds have to be requested through the support system of Steam and not the forums.

Finally, this has no bearing on Civ6, this is about Steam Support and their policies.
Therefore it's now closed.
