Unable to run the game - t2gp.exe - Bad Image

When I try to start the game I get C:\Users\name\AppData\Local\T"GP Launcher\app-1.2.0.2818\libcef.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or software vendor for support. Error stats 0xc0000020.
I have tried uninstalling, renaming the ...steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization VI folder to make sure I get a fresh install, but still doesn't work. It was working fine but stopped working a few days ago. I have auto update enabled.
I have looked at a similar thread from 2016 but the folder it refers to does not exist in my version. Can anyone help?
