Civ6 reverting back to borderless window?

Every time I start civ6 I have to go to settings and set the game to fullscreen from borderless window. Is there a way to fix this?

Are you crashing rather than exiting the game as intended? If so try setting the settings where they're supposed to be and then exit the game and maybe it will stick.
