Game in unplayably small window in top corner

Hi, just got Civ 6 today and when I open it (and click "Play", I'm not just bamboozled by the title screen), the game starts in the corner of my monitor, just over a 1/4 of the size of the full screen size.

It's completely garbage; I like to sit and watch the loading video and get excited about the game but instead I've been trawling through forums trying to find a solution. I can find other people who had the same problem but no solutions yet.

My resolution is set to 1920x1080 and I checked the AppOptions file to check that the game is starting in Fullscreen mode.

Sorry I'm really upset, I had an operation last week and I got the game to cheer myself up. Please let me know if you have any idea how to fix, xoxo.

Wait I got it; go into AppOptions and literally set the width and height to the preferred resolution. I don't know anything about computers and thought it was a dumb idea but it worked. Going to leave this up if anyone has the same issue.
