Civ 6 Stuck on the Blue Title Loading Screen
I was able to play last year and it worked fine but one day Civ 6 got stuck on the blue loading screen with the rotating compass before you get the menu allowing to start or load a new game. All I can see the blue old-timy map on a blue screen and the compass and 2K Offline.

I bought and installed Rise and Fall and I have the same issues (so I don't think it's and RaF issue). It seems like the whole game is there but something is preventing the main menu to show up. Last year I bottled my frustration and played another game instead. But I'd like to play this expansion.

My hardware/software is:
Windows 7 Ultimate
Service Pack 1
Intel Core i5-4590 CPU @ 3.30Ghz 3.30GHz
RAM: 8GB
64-Bit OS
GeForce GTX 760

The computer is not new obviously but it's perfectly capable of running the game as well as most modern games on normal resolutions.

I looked everywhere and couldn't find information on this. It is not "Loading Please Wait..."

Please help @ Firaxis/2K

Try these steps:
1) disable all community content
2) rename the My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization VI/ folder to something else
3) verify game files

Then start a new game.

Hi Donald23,

Thanks a lot for your fast reply and for your support.

It didn't work.

One note: I don't know how to "disable community content". I didn't install any mod for this game. I double checked in the subscribed items. It was empty.

Another note: I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game twice (once last year and once just now for the expansion). So Verify Game File is the first thing I do when I have an issue with a game on Steam. I have solved dozens of gaming related problems over the years by going on forums, so I always try this kind of things. I also Disabled Steam Overlay and added an exception in Windows Defender.

Hi Satoru,

Thanks to you as well for your help.

It didn't work either.

This problem started prior to Rise and Fall. But it's good to know that I've disabled the mods.

Can it have anything to do with "2K offline"? I am online but it may have problem connecting to their server. Is that necessary to play the game?

1) reverify game data
2) manually run all the redistributables (vcredist, dxdiag) and reboot
3) update your video drivers

That is not necessary to play the game.
