I'm pretty sure the "no turn limit" is checked. Domination is the only victory condition and I'm sure no one was in condition to win it. Nothing happened or was shown that could indicate the end of the game.
I was hoping it wasn't mod related, cause making 500 turns run tests for each mod I have (around 20)... not gonna happen. :/
Yes, I understand it sounds like it would be that.
I'm pretty sure I had the "no turn limit" on and all victory conditions disabled except domination. Even if, for some reason, I'd forgot the no turn limit option, I would never forget disabling the victory conditions. :/
This time it happened on turn 261. I reloaded the previous auto-saves and no matter what I do different, that game does the same at turn 261: menus, buttons, mouse icon... everything disappears from the screen, leaving me with a kind of "screenshot vision" of the landscape. I'm able to go around the map, even move the unit that is selected by definition, but without the mouse icon it gets complicated. :P
This time happened after the end turn (meaning, while the AI was making its moves), but I can't identify what is triggering this.
I'm starting new games removing one of the mods at a time, to try and find out which one might be doing this but, as far as I know, it could be a combination of more than one. :/
As far as I've been able to test, disabling one of them (in my case, "Simplified Gossip") should solve this problem.
(just adding this info, for people that might have the same issue in the future)
Thanks, pitonsnaboca for the information about the specific mods! I have similar problem, and will look into it
