And since obviously everyone who worked on the last 2 games needed to be fired...
Personally, I would just as soon wait for the developers to get out a good first release without player input unless it was to issue a pre-release version to selected players/modders such as Sukritact, JNR, Albro, Windfly, Phantagonsit, Deliverator, p0kiehl, infixo, Sailer Cat, etc. and seek their input as game development progresses. (Please forgive me if I have left your name out as one of the modders. I realize there are many other outstanding modders, but those I listed I have had extremely good reliable mods which I have used.
slowbrainedd, I can't argue with you, and furthermore, I have to go with your experience with City Skylines 2. What about the alternative I suggested and having some of the experienced modders in on the development like Sukritact, etc.? Would that help?
I guess not ; not everyone is a fan of these modders ; in fact not everyone is looking for the same things in the game and in mods. They'll probably make alpha testing then beta testing, but with a larger audience I think. These mods in particular aren't very interesting for the game developpement perspective imho.
Though time wise yeah, i would guess we might get one this or next year and the NF pass maybe being a test for what they could add for the civ7 base game, but it's hard to predict these things in general.
Exactly this. Just remember the release version of Civ5 - to describe it as barebones would be hyperbole.
The value proposition here is tricky, so an initial disappointment of legacy users seems almost inevitable to me.
You're welcome bro, always happy to help people here :)
