Map with more land and less water
Does anyone know the best configuration to find maps with more land and less water? I don't like big oceans. I think they make a good part of the map useless. Even using the "continents" option, the game gives me two land masses separated by a huge ocean.

Highlands is the map with less water.

You can alter (lower) the sea level in start options, I think in theory that should increase the land mass?

What you are looking for is a Highlands map. There is even a Rich Highlands Map if it suits your tastes.

Good Luck and Good Gaming.

Highlands has so much space that it is very easy to win. Unless you want to play conqueror.

Highlands is the map you cry when the opponents choose it and you work the next morning because you know the game will last for at least 5 hours :'(

I have created continets map in map editor then complitly edit it with minimal seas and balanced it for 25 ppls xd, if you remove seas complitly you can make map for 40-45 ppls without free citys but wating for your turn in end game take years

I also thought about doing this. But it makes me lazy to have to create a map. Thanks

That's right. I took the test. Thank you for your help. I was almost resorting to the map editor.

Try the Inland Sea map. It ensures that the ocean isn't useless while also giving lots of land mass. You can also try it with a lower sea level.
