National Park question
Hey, I got a problem with Kawhia National Park - it only gives me 1 tourism but it should be 13 (4+4+2+3). Anyone got any idea why?

I'm having trouble reading that. Maybe a screenshot of the Tourism lens would be more helpful.

And Steam has its own Screenshot function you can use.

Right ... testing ... load up a save in which I have national parks going, look at the yields screen and culture lens. Example city Arsinoe has two national parks (appeal sums 9+9+11+17 = 46 and 15+14+13+11 = 53 base tourism) a sphinx (3 culture = 3 base tourism), and full walls (1+2+3 = 6 base tourism). I have the 25% boosts from both civic and tech trees, so that's +50% on everything; the national parks generate 69 and 79 tourism, the sphinx generates 4, and the walls generate 9, all according to the tourism lens. Arsinoe also includes at least one tile each from two other national parks that belong to other cities.

What does it look like in the yield report? 204 overall tourism for the city; this is my top tourist city, on the strength of Reyna. Actually, it looks like the credit for national park tourism isn't monolithic, but is instead credited tile by tile.

Well. There's clearly something going on with the city yield screen; yours just isn't crediting the national parks at all. What if I disable my UI mods? No change, still 204. Looks like something in your setup is messing up that screen so it doesn't display national park tourism with the cities at all - the 1 tourism you see on that screen is from the city's wall. Maybe try disabling some UI mods and see if that changes anything?

It wouldn't credit them if they are outside a 3 tile (aka workable) radius of a city.

I learned that with Seaside Resorts.

EDIT:
That clearly doesn't apply here.

I should have a test save for that ... OK. Here's Krasnoyarsk. All tourism yields +25% from Computers, don't have Environmentalism yet. Tourism sources: Walls (1+2+3 = 6 base tourism), Entertainment Complex with Arena and Stadium (1+2 = 3 base tourism), Taj Mahal (6 base tourism), Biosphere (3 base tourism), Ruhr Valley (5 base tourism), 3 artifacts with theming bonus (18 base tourism), one national park entirely outside workable range (7+6+6+7 = 27 base tourism). That should be a total of 68 tourism base, increased to 85 by the multiplier. Yield screen says ... 48. Apply the 25% boosts to each tile rounding down so that's 7+3+7+3+6+22 = 48 instead of 51.25, and completely ignore the national park.
Confirmed.

On that save, my top bar says "3184 tourism from cities" and the yield screen has "+2,893" as the total tourism earned by my cities. OK. Definitely trust the top bar number more than you trust the yield screen. That screen is a useful approximation of things, but it isn't guaranteed to be accurate.

The screenshot is from the exact turn when you planted the national park? Maybe it needs you to end the turn in order to recalculate and update the tourism output?

Thx for the replies. I'm pretty sure jmerry is right, the report screen is incorrect and the actual tourism value is higher.
