Issue with mouse auto scrolling

Is there anything I can do about an intermittent bug that crops up while playing Civilization 6 on Steam. At random times, the mouse pointer will auto scroll to the left side of the screen. If I use the mouse to to move the pointer, it will (again) auto scroll to the left side of the screen.

I literally have to do a CTRL+Alt+Delete, go into Task Manager, and force shut down Steam, as well as the Civ 6 game screen. If I attempt to go back into Steam (even under Admin Mode) the problem will persist. I have to do a FULL shutdown, not a Restart, and restart Steam and Civ 6. This work for a while, but will start auto scrolling again. Thus forcing me to repeat a full process of shutting down and rebooting the computer.

Can anyone please help me address this situation. It only happens when playing Civ 6, none of the other games on my Steam.

Well, the first tip is using CTRL + SHIFT + ESC to open the task manager in Windows, it's just quicker.

For your problem, this can be caused by a gamepad that's connect or plugged in, or another input device that's plugged in (other then keyboard or your first mouse). So remove those and you should be better.

I only have a mouse and keyboard on my computer. I'm going to try to see if there are any updates to my mouse driver
