New life for Civ 6
After the abysmal launch of what was clearly a terminally flawed game, I'm talking about the impostor falsely named Civ 7, it looks like Civ 6, as the last of an once glorious franchise, may have a few good years ahead.

Modders, get to work! We will respect and even try to reward your efforts.

People said exactly same things about Civ VI and Civ V.

Bought Civ7, played it for 1HR and refunded. No tool-tips, terrible UI, feels alpha like many games recently. Rekindled my love for CIv6 for sure!

*yawn* People have been doing this since Civ 4. Ya'll kids ain't been in these streets long enough to be allowed to post on a franchise this old.

Yep, Mr. Fanboy, just buy this trash and waste your money. Its your money. From what I saw in the recent reviews, for THAT price tag? Civ 7 landed instantly on my ignore list. I will not even buy it on a mega sale.

Its time that we customers vote with our money. It is unacceptable these days, that AAA title for 130 bucks come out in such a stage. This is a scam. Just stop buying unfinished games. Maybe some time they learn, or go bankrupt. I don't care.

And I played Civ 1 + 2 as a kid ;-)

We need access to the dll, so we can port the tactical AI from vox on 5 over to 6. Then once 7 is better we need it on 7. Friaxis should just admit their AI is trash and let the community fix it. Win win...

I can't comment on whether it's good or bad or inbetween at the moment since I haven't bought it, but there are currently over 8000 reviews in English with only 50% positive rating. That's pretty low, and I generally won't buy a title until it hits over 85% positive, even if it's a triple A title. I'll wait, it's sure to improve. If I am typical that basically validates what the OP is saying, allowing for plenty more good times for Civ VI.

After seeing the reviews I loaded up Civ 5 & 6 to see which one I will play going forward until 7 is sorted out. Playing 5 on my lunch hour at work and 6 on my home computer - just couldn't decide. I like them both for different reasons.

Somehow, given the landscape over the last few years, I am not surprised that the latest release has problems...

(yawn) that is a trite and easy thing to say but it is different this time.

Always before you set out to see if *A* civilization could stand the test of time, This was a key concept that was fundamental to the franchise.

Now we have the silly idea that at a third of the way through the game and again two thirds of the way through the game the civilization completely changes. This may or may not make for a good strategy game but it is certainly not in the tradition of the original SM Civilization.

It may be a good strategy game but it is a SM Civilization game in name only.

I am going to try Civ 7 once a few updates and DLC have been released (because of my experience with Civ 6) but I think there is a good chance I will go back to Civ 6 (just as I did after trying Humankind)
