Cannot open policy cards for government on my steamdeck

Hi community,
I recently purchased a steamdeck and installed Civ6
It runs fine until i attempt to open the government policy card either in the top left hand corner or the next turn button in the bottom left hand corner
Neither function works and its like the deck isn't recognising the government tab as it launches about turn 17ish in each game. All the other tabs work
is this a configuration issue?

got the answer from another forum
from main civ6 screen in library click on the settings icon on the right hand side then go:
compatibility then click on proton 9.0-4
ive tested on play now and create a game and solves the issue each time
