Biggest base game map?
I have the base game plus all the dlc but I'm just wondering what is the biggest map you can play on without mods?

The largest maps available without mods are "Huge". Which is 106 by 66. Land amounts vary by script; if you pick something like a "Lakes" or "Highlands" map, you can have the majority of the area be land.

Might have to start picking more highlands maps, thank you

However more land may not help a lot if ten to 20 percent is mountains unless you are playing inca

I'm still the only person on the planet who vouches for the huge Earth map, huh.

Earth map has a lot of issues, but I guess some beginners and causal players actually enjoy it because it’s familiar of because they have the impression to revive history and don’t have enough knowledge of the game to see how this is a really bad map.

I tend to think of earth maps as a form of cheating I start out knowing where everything and everyone is within a very few turns of the start, Takes all the fun out of exploring,

And the rest is mostly hills.. not much flatland for farms. I'd go with Lakes. Put Sea Level to Low if you want even more land on it.

But honestly, I tend to add an extra player on Lakes maps because there is so much land.
