DLC Not Appearing in Additional Content Menu
So, I've been playing Civ VI the last couple days with no problems, running a couple small mods as well as a bunch of the DLC packs. I've completed two runs already, with nary a problem in sight.

All of a sudden, though, when I went to boot up the game this evening, I noticed that a bunch of my civs/leaders were missing. I went to the Additional Content menu in the main menu, and all I see are the DLC to add cats to the scouts, and the one to add Julius Caesar. None of the other civ/leaders I have (Australia, to name a random example), nor the mods I've subbed to on the workshop (the Civ V reskin, for example).

To be clear, they're not just disabled; they're not showing in the menu at all. Only those two "official" ones, and nothing else, official or otherwise.

I've already tried verifying my game files through Steam, deleting the
...\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI
folder, and running the game in both DX 12 and DX 11 modes.

Is there anything else I can do before I have to reinstall the whole game and see if that works? Last time I did that, it caused a whole other problem with the game failing to launch, and I'd rather not have to fix that again too (not to mention I don't love waiting for the download to finish).

Thanks anyone who has ideas!

EDIT: As I don't own a cellphone and therefor don't have "Steamguard," I'm ironically not allowed to comment on my own posts.

That said, I'll clarify here that I'm running the game on Windows 11, on a laptop computer. Not Steamdeck or another Linux device.

EDIT 2: Completely uninstalling (and deleting any leftover folders/files in Documents and Steamapps) and reinstalling has NOT solved the problem. Still just Caesar and the cats in my content menu. I totally saw Steam downloading the additional DLC and workshop items, though, so I have to assume it's just a problem with Civ itself not seeing them for some reason...

EDIT 3: FIXED: Turns out the problem was somehow related to my running Steam as an administrator using Windows' compatibility settings. I can only assume there was something wrong with the permissions, or Steam itself just didn't like having that much power.

So, to anyone else seeing the same problem, make sure you're running Steam normally; not "as administrator."

Can I ask what platform you are using? (A recent Steam Deck update has been causing an issue like this.)

I recently bought the game and had a similar issue. In my case, it seems the native Linux port is no longer supported and is out of date. Switching to running the Windows version through Proton fixed the issue.

Steam Deck also runs Linux, so the bug Copernicus is talking about is a bug that caused the Deck to switch to using the native Linux version instead of the Windows version. If you're using the Deck you should just need to switch it back.
