(MAC) Stuck on "Loading, please wait"

After the update, when i create a new game, it stuck on "Loading, please wait". The only way to play is using "Play Now". Anyone knows how to fix it?

need to wait... again! after the fiasco of the new leader pass... it's a lot of issues

I fixed this last night and all my friends could play:

Go to your steam library, right click civ 6, open properties, go to Betas, type in “ineedlegacyaccess”, click the blue button that appears to install the legacy build (it’s the build just before the latest update which broke the mac game).

When they finally get around to patching this I think you’ll have to manually switch back to the current game, not sure if it will auto update then for you.

The fix above from haezan worked for me BUT prevents me from playing (or continuing saved games) with the new Great Commanders leaders that were just released - they released the Great Commanders and I started a game with one, then a couple days later they push a new update that breaks the game :/

The “ineedlegacyaccess” code doesn't work for me! So frustrating when Aspyr straight up breaks a game I own. Wish I could turn off Steam updates completely. Garbage system.

It works but now Multiplayer is not available

Unfortunately, other players will also have to go to the legacy version if they want to play with you.

I am still having the issue with being stuck on loading screen, even with legacy access, and this has been since the latest leader pass update with the China leaders.

Same. I was able to use the game the other day after doing the legacy suggestion, and now today I can no longer use it. I uninstalled and reinstalled, switched from none to the legacy again in beta, tried all the other suggested steps and nothing is working. It still sticks on that loading screen when trying to create a new game or enter an existing one.

Legit, every time I try to use this game I have issues... wasting time. I think I have spent more time trying to get the game to work than actually ever getting to play it. I don't get to play games often and needing to go through this garbage with steam every time I want to play is just out of control ridiculous.

What's going on with this? Why do we need to keep waiting? We paid, so fix the issue please.

Mine only doesn't allow me to play with Hojo. Which oddly enough is the only leader I need to complete a game with to have completed a game with every leader. Seems fishy.
