It has nothing to do with lazyness, but rather with the internet being so much of a titan in terms of providing information, that an outdated medium will simply not earn enough to make it worth dealing with it outside of some edge.
So i honestly don't understand, why someone would even want to pay 60 € for something, that's inferior in any way and probably has half its informations being outdated in 3 month anyway.
Streaming offers the unique opportunity, that you can jump on their live streams and actually ask things, which you don't understand. If you don't ask, then they're more often than not just assuming that people rather come for entertainment than explanations.
And for copying the world generation make sure, that you also use the same world seeds, otherwise you would get random stuff. And even more importantly, keep in mind that better players usually exploit their starting area way more, which can look like they're a better roll, when in reality most rolls are similarly good in that regard, some people just value some things more than others and call a good seed bad due to not understanding, why it's actually good.
