Just starting to play again... Looking for recommendations for mods and DLC's!

Hi guys!
just chekincg i'm not missing on anything...

Which mods are the most recommended and which DLC's are the best? especially for returning gamers.... i've played a lot of Civ but looking for something extra then just playing a full game against computer AI.... looking for a story.

What do you suggest? where is the best play to dive in back to Civ?

You can often get the Anthology series which has both Gathering Storm and Rise and Fall along with ALL leaders at a sale price that is lower than either of these alone.

OP already has at least the base game, that's why I recommended 'only' these two DLC.

Well I haven't tried scenarios or other mods but if you are looking for a story then perhaps you could take a look at the guy on youtube

Sukritact's Ocean, extended eras, urban identities, and city lights are must have's for my playthroughs. The various district expansions by JNR are also excellent.
