Real Population
How do I find my actual population because it seems outrageous that only 9 people are living in my city
Is there any way to find out the ACTUAL population like civ5? Please help

Like every other number in the Civ VI, population is an abstract number representing game mechanics and not an absolute quantity of anything. So no, the actual number of people living in a city is not available in the game.

4 = just about a town; 9 = nearly a city; 15+ = a megalopolis. Check out a geography textbook for the RL figures you'd like to match those parameters..

That 9 represents the number of people WORKING in your city, not its total population
It doesn't account for the 99.9999% unemployment population

Is there any overt reason the formula that was reckoned for Civilization V wouldn’t hold for VI as well? Citizen counts don’t seem radically different.

Well, it was exponent 2.8 ) * 1000

So, a 10 pop city = 630k

My personal guess? Because the average pop of cities in Civ6 is MASSIVELY lower than in Civ5, they ended up with situations that by end game the total world population was only a few millions

Whence your data?

Admittedly, it’s been six or seven years, so my impression may be awry.
