Vampire castle not giving yields?
Hello,

I built my castle inside my territory but its not giving yields and its not being worked by the only city it could possibly be worked by. Any ideas?

Vampire castles are not worked by population. The yield is automatically transferred to your capital city. If you build one in range of a city on a tile that might otherwise have been worked, then the tile will be shaded out (like a mountain tile, for example) because it cannot be worked.

If you tally up the yields that your working population produces and then compare that to the population output reported by the UI for your capital then the extra should be the amount being granted by your vampire castle(s).

OH I see, vampire castles only give yields to the capital!

Castles don't auto-update their yields if the surrounding tiles have their yields changed (i.e. building a mine on an adjacent tile). The fix is to remove the castle and rebuild it.

What if the yields don't add up though? Because that's what I'm going through right now. My 14 pops are yielding 43 food, 23 production, and 55 gold; and I counted the actual individual yields of each tile being work (which obviously doesn't include the vampire castles, since those aren't worked). And I have two vampire castles showing a combined total production yield of 33 food, 15 production, and 30 gold.

So I should be getting 76 food, 38 production, and 85 gold, but I'm not. Any idea how to fix? Thanks
