Bomber shot down by Giant Death Robot that i wasn't at war with

Ok, since i'm posting, i might as well post this other thing. Not sure if it is intended or a bug. I was in a military emergency with another civ (us together against another civ) that had Giant Death Robots. I sent my bomber to bombard the enemy city that had a friendly Giant Death Robot next to it. My bomber was shot down. The city didn't have any anti air or fighter. It had a blue bar though, but in previous games, the bombers have never been one-shotted like that. I suspect it was the friendly Giant Death Robot that shot down my bomber.

Except in civ1 where any defending unit instantly killed bombers because they had 0 defense. If it did, it wasn't a friendly death robot. Tag friendly, allies and enemies are very basic that the only thing that I can think of is a city state who decide to swap sides. Aircrafts are immune to everything that has no tag to allow it to attack air. I don't know how stealth bombers vs bombers work. You can't see stealthy units unless inside X tiles.

My guess would be that there is a bug that causes any foreign anti-air to provide defense against an air attack, even if that foreign anti-air is owned by a party that is neutral or friendly to the attacker, and even if that foreign anti-air is owned by a party hostile to the defender. This isn't a situation that commonly (or ever) comes up in my games, so I'm not in a position to test to confirm.

Exact same thing happend to me, lost 2 bombers that way. The robot act as a defender even tho we are allies attacking the same town.

Hey Viking, was that before or after the 2021 Feb patch? The devs said they were doing a pass on AI's handling of air units. It would suck if they didn't fix that bug along the way.
