The "Platinum" bundle includes the two large expansions and a number of the early DLCs. All the major mechanics are there.
The "Anthology" bundle includes everything. And nearly all of what it adds over "Platinum" are more civs and leaders. There are a lot of DLC leaders.
It is on discount right now.
Definitely not paying even full price for the base game. :P I'm just trying to figure out what's worth it. I've heard the expansions are worth it themselves, but what about all the other Leaders?
Like, for example, Phoenix Point has some DLC but apparently they're so bad or make the game so difficult or are so unbalanced with the flow of the game, people recommend to disable them all and just play base.
AI is lame as heck and you'll find many people share the same sentiment. Okay, AI is bad I should play with people right? Nope. 0 leaderboard people leave when they fall behind you'll spend more time looking for a decent session in multiplayer than actually playing it. (no dedicated servers either).
Civ 5 was peak and 6 has pretty much 0 things that innovated it. Looks like Civ 7 is the same game as well with just slightly better visual (still ugly) and 1 new mechanic which is field commander but they want to charge you 70 USD for one mechanic change and day 1 DLC.
Lmao
