Compared to that, the Anthology offers ... well, more. Mostly more civs and leaders, though there are a few other bits that slip in. And you won't have to worry about missing anything; the Anthology is absolutely everything (though there are a couple bits of free DLC that can only be unlocked by creating and "linking" an account with the game's publisher).
Fans of the game do tend to enjoy "more", so a poll of this forum would be biased toward the Anthology. Whether that's true for you ... only you can answer that.
