No river names on earth maps

Hi! I usually play the game on the huge earth map with real starting positions. After a long break from the game I just started again but found that i couldn't build dams anywhere. Looked it up and the reason seems to be, that the rivers have no names attached to them, so the game cant be sure that there is only one dam built per river or something. But as far as i looked the problem seems to be with some custom maps only. Since i am using a map from the developers i do not know how to get the river names back. Any suggestions?

On the map on the lower left of the screen there is an option for map options that allows to toggle on and off the names of geographic features.

It is not about the names being toggled off, it is about the game not being able to give a river a name, i think. I am sure, i am playing gathering storm. At least i checked in the main menu that every dlc is activated. I also tried it on some randomly generated maps. There the river names work as i was used to, they come and go, when i toggle the map option on and of again.

Huge earth TSL map was designed before Gathering Storm. There's no tile that can be flooded on this map, so no dam can be build on it. And rivers have no names because names on river were also introduced in Gathering Storm.
You can probably find other earth maps mods in the workshop that will be updated to work with Gathering Storm mechanic.
